Hi all
Be proud of your Furman graduates - today was pretty brutal, about 15 miles mostly uphill (or that´s how it felt). There´s no easy route to the Field of Stars for us. One pilgrim had severe foot problems and took a taxi, another took of her boots and walked in sandals because of blisters. That is no easy feat (feet) - requires a whole new set of muscles. She was slopping around in the puddles and rain, but made it to the end.
We started at the fortress church of Porto Marin constructed by the Order of St. James for the protection of the Christians and eradication of the Muslims. We prayed and read from the Qu´uran, the Talmud and the Bible for the blessings of peace and that we may be peace makers. Then we walked to Palas do Rei and are now resting our aching muscles and doing laundry.
